Becoming a great hockey player does not happen overnight. It requires a lot of practice and skill development. Once these basic skills are mastered, there are many specialty techniques that can help take your game from average to the head of the class.
Specialty techniques such as master tip ins, poke checks, one timers and saucer passes are not typically taught in youth hockey practices. However, they are skills that can set the average player apart from the competition. Each of these skills requires there own special finesse and timing, and a bit of practice to master.
